It's built in an old fish cannery. However, save many old beams throughout the hotel, it is very modern in appearance.

It's centrally located a block or two from both Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli square. Plenty to do all around the hotel

I was disappointed by the addition of a "resort fee" that was payable at the hotel. Where we thought this hotel was about $266 a night, in the end, it was $300 a night. The extra fees were apparent only in the fine print (very small) at the end of the email where I'd already paid AAA for the hotel. It would have been a lot better if this was pre-paid and disclosed when the rental was done. It was a rotten surprise. I think this is more to blame on AAA than on the hotel, since AAA obviously knows about the extra charge.
