The female employee at the front desk was nice when we checked in. The male employee was not friendly at all. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL!!
Bad Tags
The location was terrible. There were homeless people all over the place. There was no AC in our room. The room was extremely small, the closet was bigger than the bathroom. The valet parking operator went through our belongings left in the car.

The staff was incredibly rude, the rooms were not ready or made ready in a timely manner, the whole outside smells like urine, the room is in rough shape, the room wasn't cleaned once in 2 night stay...etc.

The location was great. Right by Union Square and a 10-minute walk from BART. Was able to get around the city easily from here. There coffee shop is awesome!
Bad Tags
They are staffing on a shoestring. 3 employees working in concert to cover valet, front desk, and management roles. You can end up waiting to check in or get your question answered for longer than desired. The heater in all rooms does not work.

The room was so disappointing. The carpet was so dirty and the riom was so small. It is not like hotel more like motel. The price was so high given the room condition. The location was okay but there are too many homeless hearby.

The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The original reservation had my girlfriend and I booked in a double room and before we got into the elevator they asked if we'd rather be in a king and switched the room for us.

Location and the lobby where the two best things at this hotel however I don’t believe it adds up to a 4 star hotel. Complementary coffee was a nice treat.
Bad Tags
Toilet seat was falling apart, there was construction very early on in the morning that nobody warned us about And it was right outside our window. Elevator was tiny definitely not worthy of a four-star hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. The free wifi worked well, and extra touches like the Keurig for coffee and an alarm clock with USB ports for charging phones and tablets were welcome finds. The hotel held our bags after check out until our flight.
Bad Tags
The elevator was being fixed the last 2 days of our stay, making our room on the 8th floor (of 9) less than ideal. The hotel was near Union Square, but was actually in the Tenderloin area, with many homeless people around at night.

This hotel backs up to a Hostel. Every night, for many, many hours the tenants, mostly homeless who scrapped up enough money for a room together, open their windows and scream and yell and fight. It was so bad I left a day early.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel! Hallways smell like weed, dirty coffee cup in the room, and small elevator. Everything else is basic and standard to a 3-star hotel.
