My room was dirty. The jacuzzi tube looked like I wasnt cleaned in months. And the hot water wasnt working properly. I had to take a cold shower when I first checked in. And the room had a mildew smell to it.

It was modern and clean. The rooms were nice.

We did not get waited on for 30 minutes in the lounge/bar area and then were scolded for bringing in a birthday gift for a family member that included personal treat bags and one member of our group was told they were not allowed in the lounge.

The room we were given was so small, cramped with uncomfortably low ceilings. For our first night, the heating unit was running really loud all night long. after complaining - we got a different room that was significantly better.

Very spacious and comfortable room. Free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby in the morning and wine hour at 5 are nice perks. Location is convenient to metro, restaurants, the Phillips Collection. Staff were all helpful and courteous.

Quiet and location. A solid 3.5 stars, just hanging on to 4. Property needs a refresh.
Bad Tags
Restaurant not nearly as good as I remembered it (admittedly, that was probably 10 years ago).

The location was very appealing. In a quiet part of Dupont Circle, close to the beautiful architecture of Embassy Row and the close enough to the hubbub of Connecticut Avenue. The prevalence of pedal-assisted bike share and scooters was a plus!
Bad Tags
Room wasn't available when we arrived at 4 pm -- had about a 30 minute wait in lobby. However, they did give us an upgrade to appease us. But -- no coffee available before 6:45 or 7:00 a.m.? Unforgivable! I had to beg from the Mariott next door.

Everyone was so helpful and pleasant at this hotel. It is also so convenient to everything. They had a happy our in the lobby with free wine & beer. Although I did not participate, I was in the lobby experiencing the good energy that flowed.
Bad Tags
The pool area was small & tended to be crowded. But hey there was a pool.

Very stylish / chic. Loved the complimentary wine socials every evening and the complimentary coffee in the morning. Room was gorgeous. The hotel upgraded our room for free and allowed us to check in early, which was nice.

On our second and third days, there were dogs barking in the room next door to us.

The location was great, very convenient to public transportation. If you don't mind walking, you can also walk to White House, Capitol, and Mall in about 30 minutes. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance also.

Public lobby is not a lobby, very very poorly designed and it's dark. There is no information in your room about anything because they want you to call the front desk for everything including he tv channels. I found it maddening. Same goes for toiletries in the bathroom.
